By who it’s for
- Someone who cooks every day: the Gyuto, or the Complete Set if you want to go big.
- Someone learning to cook: the Santoku, with a rounded tip and easy to master.
- Someone who eats lots of vegetables: the Nakiri, with a straight edge for perfect slices.
- Someone who loves fish and sushi: the Kiritsuke or the Bunka, with a precision tip.
- Someone who already has a good big knife: the Petty, the small companion that’s always missing.
Not sure? The 30-second quiz tells you which knife suits the way that person cooks.
Dates to arrive in time
We ship to more than 100 countries and deliver in 5 to 8 business days from payment confirmation. To be safe:
- For Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (24 and 25 December): order by Friday 11 December at the latest.
- For New Year and Epiphany (1 and 6 January): order by Friday 18 December at the latest.
If an order takes longer than 8 business days, we refund 10% of the amount, without you having to claim it.
If you’re sending it outside the European Union, customs in the destination country may charge import duties and taxes on delivery; we can’t calculate them in advance. Bear it in mind if the gift is a surprise. Some countries restrict knives arriving by post: if customs rejects the shipment, we refund the full amount. At checkout you’ll see whether we ship to their country. More in Shipping and delivery times.
How to send it as a gift
- Straight to their door: at checkout you can enter the other person’s shipping address and your own billing address.
- Protected: every knife travels in its sheath, which also works for storing it.
- No risk: there’s a 30-day trial from delivery. If they’re not convinced, it can be returned and we refund the full amount to the payment method used. And a 3-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
